Night Embrace spins the story of Talon, an ancient Celtic warrior who killed the son of the god Camulus.
Camulus cursed Talon, decreeing death for everyone he loved. Now a Dark-Hunter in modern-day New Orleans, Talon meets Sunshine, who is key to ending his curse once and for all. Not to mention helping him to save New Orleans from an ancient god bent on total destruction.
“So there’s hope?”
“Honey, there’s always hope.”
Night Embrace has a perfect and smoothly-built storyline. It is not only a pretty frame story for the romance, but it is actually a vibrant, thrilling action line with powerful and serious foes, a grandiose conspiracy, mystery, important and significant secondary characters, and surprising conjunctions.
Talon’s backstory is unique, well-developed, and heartbreaking. It is filled with love, revenge, fate, sorrow, intrigue, and myth mixing with history. Plus, he is so naughty and amusing.
Sunshine’s heritage and family is extraordinary. Her background is elaborated perfectly. I love her mother, she is so cool!
“I’m not a werewolf.”
Starla looked really disappointed by the news. “What a pity. You know, when you live in New Orleans, you expect to meet the undead at least once in a while.” She looked back to Sunshine. “You think we should move? Maybe if we lived over by Anne Rice we might catch sight of a vampire or werewolf.”
The author reveals intriguing crumbs of information about the Dark-Hunter Universe, about its characters and myth, making you eager to know more about it.
