There are worse things than being stranded in a blizzard.
Artist Trevor Morrison has always appreciated the little things in life, treating each day as a gift. And with good reason: he’s been on the transplant-recipient list for too long now. When he learns just how numbered his days truly are, he resolves not to take them for granted. But he won’t be unrealistic, either—which means romantic commitments are off the table.
Marcus Roberts seems to have it all. He’s handsome, financially sound, and on the fast track to partnership at a prestigious law firm. In reality, though, his drive for success has meant no time for friends or relationships. Add in the fact that his family discarded him long ago, and he’s facing yet another holiday season alone.
When the biggest snowstorm to hit Colorado in decades leaves Marc and Trevor stranded at the same hotel, a chance encounter and a night of passion leads to more than either of them expected. Finding comfort in each other is a welcome surprise, but time is not on their side. Either they find a way to beat the odds, or they lose each other forever.
To make it short: it’s a MUST read.
Trevor Morrison is dying. He has end-stage kidney disease and has been waiting for a transplant for seven years. Because of his rare blood type the chances to find a transplant are extremely thin. If a transplant doesn’t come through in a couple of months, he has less than a year left.
This kidney disease is really original. I mean sometimes it seems fictional death is only by cancer or by a car accident.
Trevor lost hope and he is exhausted, still, he is such a strong and vibrant character. His disease was killing me too, my heart was breaking for him.
Marc Roberts seems to have it all. He’s handsome, successful, and on the fast track to partnership at a prestigious law firm. But actually it is all he has. His life is filled with only work and more work. He never has time for friends, let alone love.
Both of them are stuck at a hotel when a blizzard hits Denver. What starts as a hook-up quickly turns into so much more, and it changes their life forever.
It is insta-love, yes, but so deliciously and goose-bumpingly presented that I fell in love with these boys instantly too. The chemistry between them is tangible. The erotic scenes… OMG… are so hot… Trevor and Marc’s emotions and their very obvious connection are evident and present even in the first sex scene.
It was one of the most heart-warming, tearful, gripping, and steamiest stories I’ve read.
A Fortunate Blizzard is a remarkable Christmas romance, I loved every moment of it! Highly recommended!
